just over halfway...
26 June 2005 11:17it's been a good fun weekend so far.
thursday night met up with my sis and lore at bw3's. ate chicken, drank beer. then mj, lore and i went down to paul's club, had another beer, chatted and such and then headed back to our place for ice cream. passed out watching something... (it'll come to me later) woke around 2am and went to bed.
friday was a busy day of last minute wedding stuff. got an early morning call from mj's sis asking us to pick up some a/v equipment from a to z. got our gifts purchased, ran about and then headed to stoughton with requested a/v things. rehearsal at the church went pretty okay, i hung with their cousin for the most of it. she then invited me to get my hair done for free with her in the morning. (yay free hair!) headed to coachman's for a very nummy steak dinner and family hangout time. got home, put our wedding shit together and crashed.
saturday was a very early morning wakey time. headed down to stoughton around 9:30ish. matt dropped me off with his cousin and ran off to get a hair cut. heather and i got our hair done and then started mad dash errands. didn't get back to change until aroun 1 or so. did a quick change and headed to the church. she had to help the bride with her dress and such for pictures, i did last minute make up. then we had about 45 minutes of just hanging about. i was having issues between families (his mom's and dad's side kept claiming me). i ended up sitting with his aunt, uncle and cousin's fiance from the johnson side. after the cermony i was claimed again by heather and we headed downtown to the bar that the groom's dad owns to kill time. hung out there, drank free beer, then we went to pick up matts car and head to the reception site. the reception itself was much fun. i floated like a good little social butterfly and i think i managed to make good with all family members! yay! (mostly yay for beer and the ability to be social when drunk). mj actually made me dance a few times (it's usually the other way around at these things) and over all i had a lot of fun. we ended up giving his cousin, jen, and her fiance, jeremy, a ride back to where they were staying and finally headed home around 12:30ish. the great thing about the reception was that the banquet hall faced the lake with these great panoramic windows so we watched the storm move in. the lightning was fantastic and the whole thing was just really cool, even for a wedding reception. all in all it was fun. i'm on pretty good terms with all family members (i think) and i have another wedding to look foraward to in august!
today was another early rise morning. had to run back to stoughton to pick up the a/v equipment so it could get returned on time. after dropping that off we stopped for mickey d's b-fast, watched an episode of firefly and now we're getting ready to head back down to stoughton for the gift opening. after there will be a nap and then bettie serveert at the annex. tomorrow we both have the day off and are planning on taking it for ourselves. we're hoping for some nice, quality, us time. i suggested noah's ark since we have coupons that expire this week, but that got shot down. not that i'm complaining because that's far... ;) anywho. we'll come up with something... yay for a four day weekend!!!!
