figured it out...?
28 June 2005 11:52i'm really tired. i don't know why i'm still so tired, i slept pretty okay last night. ah well...
back at work. first thing i pull up was a file i was supposed to take care of last week. however i did the bad employee thing and left it hoping that someone else would handle it in my absence... but they didn't. basically we fucked up here and now, since i found it, i'm the one that gets to call the agent and tell him to start from scratch... here are three ways that truly fucking feel about this:
a. i don't think it's my responsibility to call this guy, it should be a sr, tech or manager
b. this will be the one to finally make me cry
c. i think our management should fucking step up and make an exceptiong, but they won't
anyways. i've been putting it off and i'm afraid to ask someone else to deal with it... i don't want to come across as a big pussy... but i just don't think i can do it... i think i'll talk to lori again after she gets back from lunch...
in other news i think i have the school thing figured out. see... we have tuition reinbursment here. however they changed the rules a bit. first you have to be taking courses that pertain to a job in the company (it does not have to be your job) second the money comes from your current managers budget. so explain to me... why would MY manager pay up to $5000 a year for me to take classes specifically intended towards getting me out of the department she manages? for fucks sake. so it's a good thing i sent in the financial aid stuff huh?
so here's what i'm doing. i have to take at least 6 credits to qualify for aid. so after work today i'm going to drop off my app for MATC. then, as soon as i get approval i'm going to register for Intro to computer graphics (3cr), Flash (1cr), Basic HTML (1cr) and Dynamic HTML (1cr). the latter three are all online courses and only 3 months a peice. flash and dynamic will overlap but i think that will be okay.... i hope... though i'm actually wondering if i should overlap basic and flash since basic is just a refresher for me (and required in order to take dynamic) plus dynamic has to be second and it overlaps with AFLIC....
okay maybe i still need to iron things out... i should also get back to work since i'm a world class slacker these days...
